1. Who we are

NIF Portugal is a service that helps foreigners obtain a Portuguese tax identification number. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for the personal data you provide.

2. What data we collect

  • • Account data: name, email address, hashed password.
  • • Applicant data: full name, date of birth, nationality, address, phone.
  • • Document uploads: passport copy and proof of address.
  • • Payment data: method, amount, and (for bank transfer) receipt document.
  • • Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, timestamps of significant actions.

3. Why we collect it

We use your data only to provide the service you ordered: preparing your NIF application, communicating with you, and delivering the certificate. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Where your data is stored

All data is stored on servers located inside the European Union. Documents are stored on encrypted, access-controlled storage that is not publicly reachable.

5. Who can access your data

Only the case handler assigned to your order and authorized administrative staff can access your documents. Access is logged. We share only what is strictly necessary with the Portuguese tax authority to complete your application.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a further period required by Portuguese record-keeping regulations. You may request deletion at any time, subject to those requirements.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and export your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@nifportugal.test.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
